Docked or Mini mode

This mode allows the PhoneBOX screen to be minimised to about 1/6th of the screen height, so that other applications can run beneath it. This means that the workstation on which PhoneBOX runs need not be dedicated to PhoneBOX. You can chose to run PhoneBOX at full size when needed, then, when you need to work on other applications but still require sight of the lines and devices, you can dock it.

In mini mode all lines and devices are displayed. You can see the 8 lines available to this client, 3 of which have calls parked on them (1-3 coloured light green). You can also see the handset and the 2 TBU’s. There is also a drop call button. Hovering your mouse over a line will display a pop-up box with call details in it (unless this has been disabled for your client layout)

Entering docked mode

  • Assuming PhoneBOX is currently running in full screen mode, simply click the button marked ‘Mini’ which is located on the toolbar to the right by the PhoneBOX logo and close buttons.
  • The screen re-sizes to docked mode

Returning to full screen mode

  • Assuming PhoneBOX is currently running in docked mode, the button marked mini will now be labelled as “Full”, indicating that clicking the button will return the PhoneBOX client to a full screen mode.
  • The screen re-sizes to full size mode
