Previously an integrated part of the old phonebook area of PhoneBOX, this now has its own section which is by default located as one of the tabs in the information pane located in the bottom right hand corner.

Directories can be created using PhoneBOX web manager by your PhoneBOX administrator or Broadcast Bionics.

Once a directory is setup, it can be configured to only be available for certain shows on your system or it can be set so that all users of PhoneBOX can see it. In the above example the directory is called ‘Station Directory’ and has been made available to all users as a means of dialling commonly used numbers that anyone in the station should have access to.

Adding / Deleting Directory Entries

To add an entry to the directory you are currently viewing in the drop down list, click on the plus button to the right of the directory drop down

This will bring up a box where you can enter information about the person or organisation whose details you want to be stored into this directory.

Once you have filled in all the details in this box, clicking Save will save the entry back and you will see it in the directory view.

To then delete this entry, click on it in the list so it is highlighted in blue and click on the delete button. You will be asked to confirm if you want to carry out this action - if you do, click "Yes" in the dialogue box. The entry is now permanently deleted from the system.
